Last modified: 21.05.2026
Last updated: May 21, 2026. Similar Cams respects the intellectual property rights of others. We respond to claims of copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) of 1998 and equivalent copyright laws in other jurisdictions (EU DSM Directive, UK CDPA 1988, etc.).
1. Filing a DMCA takedown notice
If you believe content on Similar Cams infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated DMCA agent at [email protected].
Your notice must include the following (per 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3)):
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or an authorised agent.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (URL of the original work or a clear description).
- The exact URL on Similar Cams where the allegedly infringing content appears.
- Your contact information: full legal name, address, telephone number, and email.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
2. Our response
Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice we will:
- Promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content (typically within 5 business days);
- Notify the user or aggregation source associated with the content where applicable;
- Provide the contact information of the complainant if a counter-notification is filed.
3. Counter-notification
If content of yours has been removed in response to a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was in error, you may submit a counter-notification to [email protected] containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location at which it appeared before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your full name, address, and telephone number, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or your country's equivalent).
- A statement that you will accept service of process from the original complainant.
4. Designated DMCA agent
For all DMCA-related correspondence:
Email: [email protected]
Postal address: available upon written request to the email above.
5. Aggregated third-party content
Similar Cams aggregates live thumbnails, model metadata, and stream links from third-party adult webcam platforms ("Providers"). Visual content originating from a Provider is hosted on that Provider's infrastructure — Similar Cams only references it. For copyright issues concerning original media (photographs, video frames, profile images) it is generally faster to also file a notice directly with the Provider that hosts the content. Below are the DMCA endpoints of the major Providers we reference:

6. Repeat infringers
It is our policy to terminate access for sources or users determined to be repeat copyright infringers in appropriate circumstances.
7. False claims warning
Under 17 U.S.C. §512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be subject to liability for damages, including costs and legal fees. Please ensure your claim is valid before filing.
8. International notices
For copyright complaints from non-US jurisdictions (EU under the DSM Directive, UK under the CDPA 1988, etc.) we accept notices in equivalent form sent to [email protected].
